Transport

We are located along Southern coastal Connecticut, an easy 2 hour drive from both NYC & Boston along I-95.

As well as having the option to drive your Campers to our property we also offer various travel services. Our key goal is to get campers to and from the property safely and comfortable.

We have years of experience in camp transport and we believe that the best way to come to camp is on the bus, where you can start making friends immediately!

Airport transfers and pickup

Living in NYC and don’t have a car? Send your camper on the bus! We offer transportation service to and from Manhattan at the beginning and end of each session. We have a long-standing relationship with our bus company, who we trust to always get us where we need to go safely.

Our meeting spot is the Chapel of St. John the Divine on the corner of 112th and Amsterdam. Please arrive there by 11:45 am at the latest on the first day of your session. The bus will leave at 12 pm. At the end of the session the return bus will leave camp at 10 am with the goal to reach the meeting point by 1pm. If a delay arises we will attempt to contact you via cell phone ahead of time (please make sure to tell us if you have a new number). If you would like to change your child’s travel plans, please let us know as early as you can.

Camp staff will meet you at the bus meetup to welcome you and get your luggage loaded on. They’ll double check that all of your paperwork has been submitted and answer any questions before your camper boards the bus. Once everyone is on board the journey begins!

Campers of all ages will be there, and it’s a great opportunity for new campers to make their first friends. The ride is usually about 2 ½ hours, not including bathroom breaks. The bus arriving at camp is an exciting moment! Everyone gets off the bus, has a quick health check, and then counselors from each unit help the campers move in and meet their tentmates.

Click here for google maps: Incarnation Camp. Our street address is 253 Bushy Hill Rd, Deep River, CT. Pioneer Village families should use the PV entrance, which is located at 207 Winthrop Rd, Deep River, CT. Click here for Google Maps: Pioneer Village.

driving to camp

We love to have international campers at camp, and have had families from countries all over the world including Italy, Spain, France, China, Russia, and more! We offer airport pick up and drop off services to JFK international in New York for sessions four weeks or longer.

All airport transfers MUST be approved by directors in advance or they aren’t guaranteed. Campers must be signed up for unaccompanied minor services to ensure that they are picked up by the correct people. All campers travelling alone must have a cellphone with the camp office number preloaded in the contacts. If they need help at any time after landing they should feel free to call!

Arrival at JFK- Camp staff will be waiting to meet your camper and their airline will require us to sign off that we are taking them. They will then load their luggage into the camp van and ride directly to camp! The journey is approximately 2.5 hours, not including bathroom breaks. Once they arrive at camp they will have a quick health check before meeting their counselor and tentmates, and moving into their tent.

Departure from JFK- Camp staff will not be allowed past the security checkpoint, but will check your camper in with their airline’s unaccompanied minor service and make sure they get into the correct area before saying goodbye.
